POSITION IS TEMPORARY — DO NOT ABUSE YOUR POWER

Laws and rules are written by people, and laws and rules can also be changed by people. So, when you are given a position of power, be careful how you use it. Do not use your position to intimidate others, silence them, or destroy their lives. Do not use your authority to tear families apart, destroy marriages, separate parents from their children, or turn loved ones against one another. Remember: the position you hold today may not be the position you hold tomorrow. Life is constantly changing. You never know what the next second, the next day, or the next chapter may bring—not only for you, but for the people you love and care about. Never use your authority to cause another family pain. Never use your position to separate a husband from his wife or a parent from their children when it is not right.
